Give Peace a Chance!!!!

LENNON’S LYRICS TO ‘GIVE PEACE A CHANCE’ SET FOR AUCTION

John Lennon’s handwritten lyrics to his 1969 peace anthem “Give Peace A Chance” are expected to sell for up to $600,000 at auction in July.
Reuters reported that the manuscript from late May 1969 is being sold by comedy writer Gail Renard, who when she was16 attended Lennon and wife Yoko Ono’s second bed-in event held in Montreal’s Queen Elizabeth Hotel, when she became friendly with the couple.
Lennon took a liking to Renard, and had the official Beatles magazine Beatles Monthly publish a piece she wrote covering the bed-in. Lennon also gave her several keepsakes, including the lyric sheet to the song, telling her, “One day they will be worth something.”
The lyrics are being sold as part of Christie’s Rock and Pop Memorabilia sale on July 10th.

Give peace a chance... a title that Bono would have liked to write. But as peace wasn´t given a chance ,U2 wrote Love ,Peace or Else...

Lay down....

Lay down your guns....

All your daughters of Zion...

All your Abraham sons...

Lennon....The Beatles... a great inspiration for U2...who else I wonder???
